Beside Ourselves present: You Can Art: Digital Workshop
A creative workshop that gives you time to relax and have fun.
What to expect
Often the pressures of daily life and taking care of others means that we don’t get chance to take time for ourselves. You Can Art is a workshop for parents & carers that makes space for you to think about your feelings and your wellbeing while making some art. You will use charcoal, paint, clay, words and drama to find out what stories are bubbling within you, and your facilitators will guide you to find out what those stories might want to say to you.
Please note this is not a therapy group but a space for self-reflection and some creative fun! You don’t need any art experience to join and all materials are provided.
To ensure you receive your art pack in time, you must book your place by Saturday 17 April.
Some useful information
An art pack with all the materials you’ll need will be sent to you before the session. Please include the address you’d like it sent when signing up.
You must book your place at least 5 days before the event so we have time to send your material pack.
This event will be taking place via Zoom – an email with the log in details will be sent to you the day of the event.
This is a 3 week course so you are encourage to attend all three sessions to get the most out of the workshops.
Places are limited (10 households max) so make sure you book in advance to avoid disappointment.

“A yoga practice for the mind; through the power of the breath, and the facilitator’s calming direction, I was able to create work that perfectly encapsulated my lockdown, and allowed me to process and accept my experience. A joy to be a part of!”
“It made me feel calm and joyful.”
“It has helped me connect to my senses.”
“It was so much fun because we got to express ourselves… and didn’t have to get anything right!”
“It’s been a real pleasure working with Beside Ourselves on You Can Art and the children have absolutely loved going to the sessions. The input Beside Ourselves as provided for some of our most vulnerable pupils post lockdown has been invaluable!”
