Fun by Abena

I am a solo black African woman business owner. FunbyAbena is about upcycling antique silver and turning them into beautiful gold plate, palladium plate and resin jewelries, that allows them to last longer without tarnishing. I handcrafted all the processes in my home and they are unique one offs pieces. The designs are inspired by nature, African prints and everyday things that make people smile. Things that are related to sky, animals and sea. It is a meaningful jewellery that represents things people are passionate about or love

Lottie McCarthy

Lottie McCarthy is an artist whose work is currently displayed in the Poplar Union cafe. She creates proudly mad, beautifully bonkers stuff. Making to find beauty in discarded materials and unconventional methods (sometimes described as mistakes), she hopes her designs remind you to do the same. She will be selling cards, prints, and WONKS: cushion/cuddly-toy/textile sculpture hybrids that are playfully dedicated to a squasher, wonkier world of wellbeing. A call to stop denying pleasure for the sake of perfection, Wonks are made without a plan or concern for straight lines or edges from 100% reused and reloved material. Each Wonk is different and their “imperfections” are their beauty, just like you babe.
