Ethical Iftar Event x Green Deen Tribe

Green Deen Tribe are happy to host an Ethical Iftar, an Iftar (also known as breaking of fast) seeks to revive healthy eating and ethical consumption for those fasting this month. Ramadan is a beautiful time when communities come together for prayer and food. However, we often see an increase in excess meat consumption, single-use plastic and food wastage. The Green Tribe hopes to support families and communities in changing this and making healthier and more ethical decisions this blessed month.

We focus on three key principles throughout the month of Ramadan; food waste, the impact of single-use plastic and excess meat consumption. Our in-person iftars are a space to open fast, experience our principles and prophetic eating whilst learning about our relationship to the earth.
