Join Jaka Škapin and a number of England’s most prominent vocal artists in an evening of collaborative vocal improvisation for a special Live in the Library session. Featuring Briony Greenhill, Guillermo Rozenthuler, Kate Smith, Marcia Willis and Uran Apak, with more special guests to be announced soon.

This gig will be live from inside Poplar Union for an outdoor live audience. No need to book, just come with a blanket to sit on and a beverage of your choice if you’re in the area! The gig will also be filmed and released at a later date if you can’t make it down on the night.

Friday 14 May | Remembering | Live at Poplar Union

Weather permitting, we are inviting you to sit or stand outside of Betty (Poplar Union’s performance space), on the edge of Bartlett Park, and witness the improvised music and song that will be shared with you from the inside, through open windows, minds and hearts of exquisite singers and storytellers.

Following the success of Singing Out, Singing In, Singing Up; an online discussion on Collaborative Vocal Improvisation we organised as part of Poplar Union’s Digital Arts Festival (which you can still listen on this link), we are thrilled to be able to return in person and share an evening of exploration and connection with a live audience.
