WIT, poplar union, black history month, mental health, east London, free event, workshop for women of colour

Lead by members of the Women’s Inclusive Team, this workshop will delve into what challenges women of colour and their families may face, exploring preventative approaches to ensure good mental health. You will explore the early signs, prevention, negative language and how we can all play our part in improving the wellbeing of our community.

For parents and guardians attending the workshop, help will be given in how to identify early signs of ill mental health in your family, what to do and where to find support. There will be the opportunity to have your own questions asked at the end of the workshop and all steps will be taken to ensure participants feel safe and respected in the Zoom space.

This is a safe, inclusive and informative mental health workshop designed for anyone who identifies as female and is from a black, indigenous or minority ethnic community.
