Peter Edwards’ Trio ‘Psychedelic Soul Sessions’

Peter Edwards’ trio will be presenting new material that is inspired by Miles Davis’ 1970s electric period and the music of Herbie Hancock’s Headhunters. Support on the night from the Grand Union Re-Generation band.
About the Trio
The Trio have released 2 albums, ‘Safe and Sound’ (2013) and ‘A Matter of Instinct’ (2016). Both have been reviewed favourably – 3* Guardian, 4* Evening Standard and 4* MOJO. The ‘psychedelic soul sessions’ is a new direction for the band since embracing the influence of the 70’s electric period of Miles Davis and Herbie Hancock. Their new sound palette blends driving jazz funk grooves with afro beat, lush string pads and soulful melodic improvised explorations.
