What to expect

Learn how to make upcycled, spooky decorations and beautiful upcycled fabric baskets for trick-or-treating. Learn how to make some healthy, halloween inspired snacks including DIY marzipan sweets, eyeball popcorn, spider energy bites and mini tangerine versions of traditional Halloween pumpkins! Talk about what things we can do to use less plastic in our daily lives and discuss ways to make this Halloween plastic free!

About Plastic Free Poplar Campaign & Sunny Jar Eco Hub

Sunny Jar is a community organisation founded by local residents, Maud and Linda, who wanted to make sustainable living easy and accessible to everyone. They are running Plastic Free Poplar, a community led project aiming at reducing single use plastics in and around Chrisp Street market area over the next two years.

The project is part of Just FACT, a collaborative project building a fair food system and reducing carbon emissions in Tower Hamlet.
