As part of the Summer of Wellbeing Festivals, Poplar Union & Well One bring you Poplar Picnic, a free family-friendly festival in the park!

After having to cancel the festival last year due to Covid, we are so excited to announce a new date for our brand-new, annual festival bringing together friends, neighbours and communities that make up East London’s best kept secret, Poplar!

What to expect

Join us for a community festival on Saturday 20 August, 2022 at 12pm-4pm for a day of fun in the sun with live music, stalls, wellbeing activities, food & drink, and more! Bring your friends, families, dogs and picnic rugs for a day celebrating everything POPLAR!

For this year’s event, we’ll be pulling out all the stops with a much-needed dose of fun for all the community to enjoy this summer! Across Bartlett Park, the Limehouse Cut canal, and Poplar Union, there’ll be something for everyone. There will row of market stalls celebrating local organisations, makers, and food vendors from East London. There’ll be a live, outdoor stage showcasing music and artists from the area. The newly designed Bartlett Park and canal will host activities from Well One all day, including a soft play, bouncy castle, taster sessions and even a fire engine! Plus our partners e5 Poplar Bakehouse and Moo Canoes will be around showcasing what they do best!
