School of Noise – Listen & Play sessions support babies and toddlers to develop their listening and musical skills as they begin their journey through the sonic world around them.

What to expect

During these weekly sessions, babies, toddlers and their parents/guardians will be able to listen to lots of different sounds, dance and move, and play music together. The classes include percussion instruments to play on, visual projections, fascinating facts, lights and bubbles!

We’ve been to a billion baby music classes but I’m struggling to think of another one I’ve enjoyed as much as Listen & Play. If you’re bored of generic rhyme-time sessions, uninspiring teachers and repetitive formats then this one is for you.” — Emmy (bablands.com)

The School of Noise is one of those ideas that you just know is right: bringing back a sense of wonder & accessibility to music-making.” — Jarvis Cocker

Listen & Play is intended to be just as fun and interesting for grown-ups as well as their children. Each week is different so it’s a perfect event to pop to when you have a spare morning with your little one!

The music played isn’t traditional children’s songs and nursery rhymes, instead, we play music from a variety of different genres and artists including Brian Eno, Bjork, Kraftwerk, Four Tet, Miles Davis and Delia Derbyshire.
