Whether you want to explore your poetic imagination or try something new, this course is guaranteed to help you create original poems.

What to expect

Taking inspiration from the world around us and contemporary poets, each week you will interpret a unique theme. Past themes have included Black female poets, experimental poetry and ‘objects that we love’. In a supportive environment, you will be given time to finesse your poems for the page or the stage, using spoken word and storytelling techniques.

Everyone is welcome, whether you have never written before or you want to hone your craft – all you need is enthusiasm!

Course dates:

Wednesday 15, 22, 29 January, 5, 12 & 26 February

If you didn’t manage to book onto the course, we have now added drop in tickets so you can book on to all or some of the next sessions.
