Stories We Tell: Photography Course

We have had to cancel the session on Wednesday 16 November as Pierre is unwell.

Stories We Tell is an inclusive, 8-week photography course to aimed at local people to develop the skills necessary to create and share reflections of their own community through photography.

What to expect

This third edition of Stories We Tell will be an opportunity for local people to share their vision of a better world.

Through photography, you will explore the local area with local photographer, Pierre Bureau, using your cameras to tell the stories of Poplar and the people who make it. This photography course is for all abilities, using just your smartphone or tablet cameras. At the end of the project you will curate an exhibition and a photo-zine as a group.

If you can’t commit to the whole 8-weeks, that’s no problem, just book a spot on the days that work for you.

“I’m a photographer and workshop facilitator living in East London. My photographs have been published in The Guardian, the BBC, Geographical, and in 2020 was shortlisted for The Wellcome Photography Prize. As a photographer who is passionate about human resilience and compassion, I’m helping find solutions through photography workshops using this medium to explore the poetry of daily life and to challenge our fears and anxieties.”
