GUESTS ON THE NIGHT

Superb Herbs

Join Violet from Superb Herbs to learn tips and tricks for growing herbs successfully at home, what herbs are still around in the colder months, and hear about festive goodies that can be made with your harvest. Violet will also demonstrate how to make a couple of her favourite herby cocktails for you to sample this season.

Superb Herbs was set up in Hackney by Violet, a gardener and herb enthusiast. Living in a busy city she felt and sensed in others, a disconnect from nature. Superb Herbs was born from a desire to offer others a little slice of something green and purposeful, to nurture at home. They offer a wide range of herbs, growing accessories and organise workshops sharing advice on herb growing, their uses and encouraging discussions on this fascinating group of plants.

Twine making with Emma from Jup

Emma from Jup Upcycle will show you how you can easily make beautiful twine from fabric scraps, a unique and sustainable addition to your present wrapping or handmade Christmas crackers. All you’ll need is some fabric scraps and a pair of scissors.

Emma’s small business, Jup, focuses on upcycling textile waste to save it from landfill and make beautiful objects for the home and body. She collects fabric scraps from other small businesses to help them be zero waste, as well as unwanted clothing from her local community.

More to be announced!

This event will take place via Zoom. You will receive an email including the Zoom log in details on the day of the event. To overcome any financial barriers, this is a ‘pay what you feel’ event – please select the amount you wish to pay at checkout.
