Veronica Rowlands illustrations, poplar union, exhibitions, illustrations, art, local artists, things to do, free, The Gallery, East London

Veronica is a nostalgic individual who hoards copious amounts of kitsch, vintage ornaments – as they’re too ‘cute’ to throw away. Retro dolls and depictions of soft transitional objects are a recurring theme throughout her work. The concept behind Veronica’s illustrations is the ‘universal trigger for the inner-child in adults’ or in other words, is about creating quirky, delightful artworks which make the viewer feel nostalgic.
