Moo Canoes was created in 2012 to make London’s waterways more fun for everyone!
They work with Thames 21 and The Canal and River Trust, using the fleet to enhance and protect the waterways. They’ve also helped found two community action groups, The Lower Regent’s Coalition and Friends of the Cut – there are regular friendly events and both welcome new volunteers!

Moo Canoes – Canal Litterpick
Tired of looking at a filthy canal and towpath? Now is your chance to make a difference and get stuck in with Poplar Union’s monthly litterpicks!
Lower Regent’s Coalition & Moo Canoes team up to for a canal clean-up on the last Wednesday of every month, focusing on the Limehouse Cut canal.
All of these events are run by highly-experienced litterpick leaders. Don’t worry if you’ve never canoed before – Moo Canoes’ boats are very beginner-friendly and their team will show you the ropes!
Litterpick dates this Summer!
The monthly litterpicks begin again in April and run on the last Wednesday of every month from 5.30pm:
Meet at Moo Headquarters at Limehouse Basin under the DLR Bridge at Limehouse Basin E14 7JZ. Nearest transport is Limehouse DLR, Branch Road exit.
These events are open to all volunteers and run on a first come first serve basis so we suggest you arrive early to guarantee a space.

Moo Canoes – Paddleboarding (SUP)

Is it a fish? Is it a new species of waterfowl? Is it the offspring of a surfboard and a canoe? No, it’s stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), the latest craze to hit the Limehouse Cut, brought to you by Poplar Union and Moo Canoes!
This decidedly different sport is a fantastically fun way to get out and enjoy the water. Great for balance and core strength, our paddle boarding sessions are suitable for beginners and seasoned SUPers alike. Their experienced instructors will kit you up and take you through the basics with the aim of getting you on the water and experiencing the joys of the sport as soon as possible.
