Like most things, our annual Women in Focus Festival looks a little bit different this year and whilst we can’t be together IRL to celebrate International Women’s Day, we’re bringing you a month of events, screenings, talks and workshops to enjoy from the comfort of your own home!

This year’s festival highlights include a very special, live-streamed edition of Rosie Wilby’s hilarious The Breakup Monologues with extra special guests, Sindu Vee and Jessica Fostekew. We have gigs every Friday night showcasing some of the freshest female musical talent from Jelly Cleaver’s House Party, to DJ Ritu and Nari Chetona. If you’re looking for something a bit more interactive, express yourself in Selina Brown’s Flawlessly Imperfect writing workshop celebrating women and those who identify as female in all their wonderful, messy, authentic, powerful selves! Or sit back and enjoy a digital screening of Sarah Gavron’s incredible 2019 film Rocks, followed by a live discussion with the young women of Purple Moon Drama.

So, whilst the future may seem unknown right now- it certainly will be female!
