Kid’s Drama Club!


Drama club is for 6-10 year olds full of fun and creativity! With a different theme each week, classes will encourage confidence and self-belief through drama and play.
What to expect
In this drama class, you can expect to have lots of fun, and a space to be silly! New facilitator, Stephen, will help participants gain confidence and make new friends in a positive and supportive environment. The class will involve playing lots of drama games and exploring improvisation and clowning drama techniques. It will also focus on creating improvisation scenes about topics and themes that are important to the young people.

About Stephen
Stephen Lloyd is an award winning film and theatre director born and based in East London. He is the Artistic Director of Amplified Theatre company and has taught at some the UK’s leading drama schools including Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, ALRA and at the University of Portsmouth. He worked as a professional actor for over 10 years touring the UK in numerous theatre productions at venues that include the Hackney Empire and Theatre Royal Stratford East, originating the lead role in the cult musical ‘Reasons to be Cheerful’ featuring the music of Ian Dury and the Blockheads. He played Boycie in ‘Rock and Chips’ in the prequel ‘Only Fools and Horses’ for the BBC and has appeared in episodes of ‘Holby City’ and ‘Silent Witness’. He starred in the award winning musical ‘Come Dancing’ composed by and featuring Ray Davies of The Kinks. He has also worked internationally in Brazil, Mexico, Germany and the Theatre National de Nice, France.
